Traveling down memory lane - what a great trip this was! BeauFlor is still one of the best resilient floorings on the market - my first choice when I'm designing homes.
This is turning out to be a very busy summer - Patriot Homes
is opening quite a few new communities with developers and I'm helping
out with the merchandising of their models. My sister is getting
married! We are all very excited, and it's going to be a wonderful
family affair and really be about the kids.
But the big news is that I've been invited to Belgium by Beaulieu Flooring
to work on a new flooring concept they are "rolling" out! It's a very
innovative product that is being distributed in the States by Patrick Industries,
and it's availability in wider widths means less seams and better wear.
I'll be bringing back lots of information and photos, so stay tuned!
This development will truly make me an Internationally Acclaimed Lifestylist - accept no imitations!
What's New in Model Home Merchandising
Happy 2015!
We are off to a great start, and January means the start of the convention circuit. We are attending the Dallas Furniture Market, The Las Vegas Furniture Market and the International Builders Show - all with 10 days! We'll have lots of new trends to share, and also photos of the biggest and best model home of the year - The New American Home.
To find out what we find as we find it, follow us on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter. Be sure and "like" us on these - we'll be uploading all day long so you won't want to miss a thing.
Trend Setting Model Homes

Happy days are here again! Home building and sales are picking up, and consumers are more optimistic about the economy than they have been in years.
As a result of this interiors are lightening up and we are again seeing bright splashes of color in new homes and in model homes.
Lifestylist® Design recently completed this fun model for @home Builders in their Timber Banks community. Especially after the precious Budweiser commercial featuring a rescued dog, nothing sells lifestyle more than a dog. We used impactful artwork full of color to make the home memorable, and really made a statement with the teal leather barstools. The home had been a completed home that the builder decided to merchandise to help buyers understand how furniture would fit in the open floorplan. And it's working - there is now new interest in the homes.
Being Thankful
All of us at The Lifestylist Brands would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. May it be filled with family, friends, love and great food!
Trend Tracking in Las Vegas

It is so exciting to see the changes that are coming in the design world. Technology is making a huge difference in the way we live, and with LED lighting becoming more affordable there are some really exciting changes coming in lighting and how we use light.
As a Lifestylist® it's really important to me that I keep up with changes and trends so Sunday I'm heading to the Las Vegas Market. Usually go for a day or two, but there are so many great seminars this time I'm going to spend a few extra days to learn about what's new and what we'll be seeing in 2014.
Customers visit model homes to see what's new, and showing them new design trends gives them a reason to want to buy a new home. The Lifestylist® Brands visit at least 4 trade shows a year to make sure that we know what's hot and what's not.
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for updates right from the show.
Helping Do The Most Good

It's heartbreaking to watch the news today and see the devastation in Moore, Oklahoma. My sister and her family live in Edmond, OK and I have clients that have land lease communities very close to where the tornado touched down. Sam - my nephew and favorite Jr Lifestylist spent the afternoon in their storm shelter a few days ago having a picnic with his pets -I'm so glad that he made sure they were safe as well as his family.
People always think that "trailer parks" or "mobile home parks" are the worst places to be during a disaster like this, but that just isn't true. I was glad to hear that the Yes! Communities in this area only sustained hail and wind damage and no one was hurt. Their on-site managers made sure that everyone got to where they needed to be and are now busy helping them get emergency supplies and repairs. That's one of the advantages of living in a well run land lease community - there's always someone there to help.
If you would like to help the people of Moore that were affected by the storm, I encourage you to donate to the Salvation Army. They truly do the most good with every dollar that is donated.
